6 Steps to get a COOL Ringtone on your mobile

6 Steps to get a COOL Ringtone on your mobile

Nowadays, a lot of people are interested in keeping cool content on their mobile so they can enjoy it anywhere they go. We have received a lot of queries from customers who are confused about the process of downloading the content. This is because nearly all sites confuse the customer just to get that sale. And this is where www.ringtones.mobi is different, it explains the complete process completely with the help of diagrams and if your mobile handset is not compatible, you dont get charged and if you email your handset to support@ringtones.mobi, they do contact you when the handset is made available. Here are the 6 steps to get a cool ringtone on your mobile

Step 1: Go to www.ringtones.mobi and select a content that you like. Ringtones.mobi has a collection of over 50,000 content which includes mainstream content and exclusive user-generated content from the site www.ooober.mobi

Step 2: If you observe closely, you will see a unique id written with every content item e.g. R27630, R1454393 etc. If you have a cellular connection from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile in USA, you can open a new text message, write Get R27630 (there is a single space between get and id) and send it to 68267. This message is called MO (Mobile Originated: any message sent from your mobile).

Step 3: After sending the get message, it will take between 2 - 10 minutes (depending on traffic) and you will get a confirmation message in your inbox from 68267 asking you to confirm purchase by replying with Y. Select "Reply" (to message) from options, type "Y" and send it back to 68267. The message is called MT (Mobile Terminated: any message sent to your mobile)

Step 4: After some time (again depending on traffic), you will receive a web link in your inbox. Scroll down to select the link, then click on options to either "Open Link" or "Get Link". This link helps the system in identifying your handset and if it is not yet available on the server, it will send a message saying your content is not compatible with your handset. If you really want the content, you can email your mobile handset model at support@ringtones.mobi and they will get your handset on their mobile list.

Step 5: If content is compatible for your handset, you will receive another message in your inbox with "Advice of Charge". This message displays all the relevant info including your number, price of ringtone, name of ringtone etc. In the bottom of the message there will be a link you have to click/open to start downloading the content to your mobile.

Step 6: After the content download completes, you will receive another message notifying that you have been charged for the ringtone. The cost will be deducted from your prepaid account or it will appear on your monthly bill. The last step is to save the ringtone and you are now the proud owner of a cool ringtone.

If there are any problems or errors during any of these steps, you can send an email to support@ringtones.mobi. BTW, you can follow the same 6 steps to get a cool wallpaper on your mobile and speaking of cool wallpapers, check www.ringtones.mobi/rickrietveld

Discover Bands

This is the new blog for ringtones.mobi this week.

Discover Bands (week 34)

This week I decided to check who is the highest selling ringtone artist in history of ringtones and guess who it is, none other than Akon. His "Don't Matter" ringtone sold more than an estimated 12 million times whereas his other ringtones including "Bartender" and "I wanna love you" sold more than 1 million times each (you can check out his ringtones at www.ringtones.mobi/akonringtones ). Interesting facts about Akon are that he is the first mainstream artist born in Senegal and that he is a Muslim. He also holds the record for having both #1 and #2 songs at the same time on Billboard charts. He has a unique combination of vocals and lyrics which has won him millions of fans around the world and figures say his ringtones sound the best on any mobile.

I discovered this cool indie rock band from British Columbia, Canada called "KJB Agents" who have a diverse global fan base and it wasn't a surprise when I listened to their songs on Myspace www.myspace.com/kjbagents as for their ringtones, I love the intro to strip away as it has an amazing beat for a ringtones (see www.ringtones.mobi/kjbagents). Overall, their music is worth listening to as it has a combination of both good vocals and instruments. See you next week when I come back with a new indie band.

Discover Bands

Hey all! Thanks for dropping in to my blog which is a unique blog in its kind. You see I love mobile content and search a lot of sites to get that unique, moody ringtone or wallpaper for my mobile. Why? Because my mobile means everything to me and it shows who I am. Yes, I love my mobile and I know you do too. Anyways coming back to the point, this blog is unique as I will be discussing a major band each week and an indie band (Support new artists!!!) that are making a mark in the music industry. So after a brief thought I decided, let's do Rihanna and Art of Dying this week. Some will agree that whereas Rihanna is one of the biggest mainstream stars today, Art of Dying aren't much of an indie band either. Well it's true! Art of Dying has performed with some great bands like Seether, Saliva, Hinder and Papa Roach on stage and is touted as the next Nickelback of Canada. They recently opened for Disturbed in their USA tour and have made a lot of fans. Their music is great and I thank this amazing site ringtones.mobi for helping me discover them. They have a great sound and their ringtones make you head bang every time your mobile rings. Try their amazingly inspirational song "Get through this" as your mobile ringtone and I assure you a rocking experience. (Available at www.ringtones.mobi/artofdying)

Then there's Rihanna, the first female from Barbados to get a Grammy and she deserves it too. She was lucky enough to work with talented musicians like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, both of whom have proven to be a lucky charm for every artist they have collaborated with. Browsing through her ringtones, I came to the decision that her best ringtone is Umbrella, not only because it's a catchy tune and every one around starts humming the tone but because it has a feel everyone can relate to and feel good about them (available at www.ringtones.mobi/rihannaringtones). I would like to know if someone shares my sentiment. I will be back next week with another major artist and an indie artist so do drop in. Keep it ringin!
